Wildlands Emblem
Wildlands (ワイルドランド地方, Wairudorando Chihō) is one of eight regions in the continent of Solistia.
Northwest Solistia is a barren wasteland—a blasted expanse of volcanic rock that resists even the loneliest blade of grass. The few brave souls who eke out their existence here have long suffered the sulfuric whims of Fiatsuro and its unstable neighbors. But life always finds a way.
Among the rock and stone dwell the golt, an unusually large breed of goat who subsist on a meager fare of local weed. The cheese produced from their milk is especially scrumptious, and has become a local specialty. The volcanic soil conceals a wealth of valuable minerals.
Many small mining towns have sprung up here, including the southern town of Oresrush, established by silver merchants Papp Yellowil and Roque Brilliante.
To the north sit the small towns of Crackridge and Gravell, two settlements with mysterious pasts. The former is also the dwelling place for Tera, a powerful titan with volcanic powers.
The region borders the Harborlands to the south, the Leaflands to the west, and the Hinoeuma to the southwest.

Trivia[]
- The Wildlands is the equivalent of the Cliftlands from the first game.
- In his Chapter 1, set eight years prior to the present, Partitio refers to a "King Dudley" whose crown contains fine Oresrush silver. This king's identity is otherwise unknown.
- When composing the music for the Wildlands, Yasunori Nishiki set out to create a spaghetti-Western vibe befitting of a windswept wilderness as well as Partitio's journey. To convey a sense of desolation and howling wind, the pan flute features in the melody, creating a vaguely plaintive sound perfect for the dusty red wilds. Meanwhile, the tremolo mandolin creates an inexpressibly mysterious air, and the vibrato trumpet adds a dash of authentic spaghetti-Western style.[1]
