Etymology[]
"Victorino" is a Spanish name of Latin origin, derived from the Latin name "Victorinus." The name means "champion," which is appropriate for Victorino as he is a contender in the Victors Hollow tournament.
Trivia[]
- While the story strongly implies that Olberic duels Victorino one on one, all current party members will fight alongside Olberic.
- Olberic remarks that Victorino "wears his blade like he knows how to use it."
- In her travel banter, Tressa confesses that Victorino reminds her of "the folks back home." According to her, "He's a real man of the sea: straight-talking and honest, with no time for hogwash. You know, I have a feeling he and I would get along."
- Despite Victorino being classed as a mini-boss, Olberic's Chapter 2 treats his duel against him as a main boss battle, playing "For Redemption" beforehand and "Decisive Battle I" during the battle. This is unusual considering that the other mini-bosses fought in Olberic's second chapter, such as Joshua Frostblade and Archibold, do not receive similar treatment and are instead fought to the music of "Battle II," making Victorino the only mini-boss in Octopath Traveler to be given this treatment.
- Victorino may once have been intended to be the boss of Tressa's Chapter 1, as his concept art appears in place of Mikk and Makk's in The Art of Octopath.
- Victorino is 4 cubits tall and weighs 11 stone.
