The Traveler's Bag is a side story in Octopath Traveler II. The tale begins by approaching the lone, unidentified townsperson near the exit point of the starting traveler's town.
Resolution[]
Change the time to nighttime.
Upon defeat, the Bandit, will flee, leaving the traveler with Al's Bag.
Search the immediate area to locate the hooded townsperson, Glowering Man, standing near a campfire. Speak with the Glowering Man and choose the option: "Yes" when prompted to "Take bag back?". The Glowering Man will change his name to Bandit and engage the traveler in battle.
