The Sunlands are a sun-bathed sandy region in southern Orsterra. The region consists of a vast desert with several cave networks and ancient catacombs. It includes the town of Sunshade—which is where the dancer Primrose begins her travels—Wellspring, and Marsalim.
Long ago twelve tribes continuously fought over the control of a small oasis within the Sunlands region. Over 100 years ago the Yashum Clan, based in the town of Marsalim, managed to put an end to the conflict by uniting the tribes and establishing the Kingdom of Triberia.
Currently the king is chosen from among the clan chieftains by a vote from the General Assembly of chiefs. The current regent is King Khalim from the Yashum Clan.
