Shrine of the Runeblade is an optional dungeon location in Octopath Traveler, hidden in the West Everhold Pass.
The advanced job, Runelord, may be unlocked by reaching the Shrine within and defeating Balogar.
Description[]
Half of the Shrine of the Runeblade lies buried beneath the roots of a mountain, swathed in white fog and stalagmites, while the other half of the shrine extends into the heavens. Its yellow grass and pine trees pale in comparison to the glory of the shrine’s summit. Here, at the top of a long, dramatic staircase, the altar's vine-covered pillars rise before a breathtaking backdrop of distant mountain vistas, complete with white birds soaring through the sky.

The entrance to the Shrine is located in the West Everhold Pass to the South. From the save point, travel East past the stone column and follow the path South through a stone arch to the entrance of the shrine .
