Rest is a Merchant Skill in Octopath Traveler.
Effect[]
Rest removes all Status Ailments (but not debuffs) from the user of the skill, as well as restoring a small amount of their HP and SP.
Formula[]
- HP Healing = 1.0 x Healer E.Def
- SP Healing = 25 SP (constant)
Boost: Increases healing by +30% HP as well as restoring an additional +25 SP per boost.
Other Multipliers[]
- All HP healing scales with the level of the healer (see Level Multiplier).
- All HP healing has a random multiplier (from x0.98 to x1.02) applied to it for each hit.
- Note: Healing power is not affected by the Increased Elemental Defense buff, as this reduces damage received directly and does not increase E.Def.

- Aelfric's Auspices applies the Aelfric's Auspices buff for 3 turns, causing this skill to trigger twice for no additional cost, doubling the amount of HP and SP restored
- Transfer Rune will extend self-targeting skills to all allies, making it a useful way of healing Ailments from all allies
Support Skills[]
- Saving Grace on the equipping character allows them to be restored above their maximum HP, up to 9,999
- SP Saver halves and rounds down the SP Cost of skills; the user can restore SP with Rest (whose SP Cost is 0) and spend less SP using other skills
- Heightened Healing on the equipping character multiplies the HP/SP restored by ×1.3
