Reime is a playable character in Octopath Traveler 0 (influence is Power). In Champions of the Continent, she is the tenth Orsterra's Arena Champion, meaning she cannot be guided and instead is acquired by defeating her in her Tourney in the Arena.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Reime is an intense-looking woman with black hair held up in a bun with a hairpin. She wears a red kimono with a white sash, a long black skirt, and open sandals.
Personality[]
Reime is hailed as a legendary swordswoman who is capable of felling countless foes without even drawing her blade. She is highly confident in her skills, but rarely, if ever, displays severe emotion, being calm and collected at almost all times. She prized strength above all else, as she saw it as a method of escaping poverty in her youth. After suffering defeat at the hands of the protagonist, she is reminded of just how much she has to learn and travels with them in hopes of getting stronger.

Overview[]
Requiring a string of difficult battles in order to recruit, including an extremely punishing boss fight against her, Reime will likely be among the later travelers the player gets access to. Fortunately, her performance right out of the gate does not disappoint. As a Warrior, she wields swords and polearms by default and is signified by having incredible physical attack, allowing her to deal tons of damage right out of the gate, as well as solid speed and even evasion. Unfortunately, this comes at the cost of being quite fragile when compared to other Warriors such as Viator and Olberic, lacking the former's natural access to Parry and the latter's naturally high physical defense and HP. This makes her extremely easy to kill if enemies can get the jump on her and more reliant on team support for survival when compared to her alternatives. Her skills are almost entirely built around offense, through either multi-hit attacks, defense debuffs, and even a unique counterattack with Vengeful Blade, which will reduce enemy shield points regardless of their weakness, allowing for an easier time of breaking bosses over the course of a lengthy battle (note that unlike Viator's parry, it does not in any way reduce damage taken). It is also worth nothing that she is the only Warrior with natural access to offensive magic (in this case, the double-hit dark spell Master of Shadows), though given her low elemental attack, it is less of a damage option and more just a tool for breaking shields when no other options are viable.
Her support skills further play into her offensive role, offering her flat buffs to her physical attack, a 50% chance to refund spent BP, increased multi-hit potency against broken targets, and even charging her ultimate skill upon exploiting an enemy weakness with physical attacks.
Her ultimate skill, Lotus Blade, is quite possibly the strongest single-target attack in the game. At full charge and with her Fierce Rush support skill, Reime can punch heavy holes into even the most durable of enemies even without attack/defense modifiers.
As for action skills, Reime wants anything that will either help her survival or give her extra offensive power. Surpassing Power is a must-have for her in order to up her potential damage, as that is her main selling point. On that note, Physical Prowess is also useful on her to up her physical attack and defense permanently, and this can be obtained by reaching full amity with her and beating her in a duel. Viator's parry is also a worthwhile tool on her in order to mitigate her low durability, as well as giving her AoE sword or spear attacks such as Flash of Malice or Spear Whirl.
Overall, Reime is the nigh-uncontested queen of damage who can easily fill the offensive needs of any party composition. Though much more fragile than her competition, there are few who can hope to match her prowess in shredding large health pools with ease.
