- "This is Quarrycrest, the mining town. I love a lively village, don't you?" —Townsperson
Quarrycrest is a location in Octopath Traveler. It is a mining town famous for containing gold within its cliffs, which is highly sought after by miners, as well as the setting for Chapter 2 of both Cyrus and Tressa's stories.
Quarrycrest is ruled by the greedy lord Morlock in 1618, who took the title from whom Morlock describes as a “stubborn old landlord." Morlock owns the mine, the town, and all land surrounding it; as such, he claims the right to all gold mined within.
Description[]
Quarrycrest is a bustling settlement, imbued with the large, sprawling atmosphere of a frontier town. Having sprung up on the heels of a gold rush, this city is full of miners chiseling away at the rocks, with stairs and scaffolding of questionable integrity stabilizing the houses built up high on the cliffs. Its busy, rough-edged, and exciting atmosphere lend Quarrycrest a unique gold-rush spirit.
The Armorer is located in the Quarrycrest Mines sub-area.

Story: Cyrus Chapter 2
Trivia[]
- The price to restore reputation in Quarrycrest is 2,500 leaves.
- According to the biography of one NPC in Quarrycrest's tavern, newcomers to the city have to wait half a year in order to officially register as miners.
- At the beginning of Tressa's Chapter 2, Graham Crossford's journal testifies that Quarrycrest is "a sleepy little mining town," although rumors of gold have begun drawing prospectors' attention. Clearly, the city has experienced a recent boom in growth.
- Prior to Cyrus's Chapter 2, the entrance to The Sewers is blocked off by wooden boards rather than a more traditional sidepost. Incidentally, The Sewers shares this trait with Cyrus's Chapter 1 dungeon, the Subterranean Study.
- In addition to gold, Quarrycrest provides minerals known as skystones, a rare form of ore that appears as a dull black rock until polished to reveal the sparkling green gemstone beneath.
- According to a merchant in Grandport Markets, Quarrycrest produces the highest-quality soulstones in the land.
