Trivia[]
- The Backstreets play a muted version of New Delsta's regular theme. After cutscenes, the music may revert back to its unmuted version, but exiting and re-entering the area will cause it to reset again.
- Gil's tavern is known as "Montraine's Tavern," as it used to belong to a famous pianist named Montraine. After he retired, Montraine took up playing the piano in his tavern, causing his music to waft through the alleyways. The music attracted a young Gil, whom Montraine taught to play the piano.
- Gil's tavern is only open at night. According to Gil, its drinks are cheap, but patrons shouldn't get their hopes up about the food.
- The cemetery located on the western side of the backstreets belongs to fallen Blacksnakes. Rumors has it that the cemetery was Mother's idea, though Throné doubts this is the case. The Elderly Man who lives next door is noted to collect the bodies of those who die in the backstreets without anyone to mourn them, interring their remains in the graveyard out of compassion.
- After his death, Pirro's gravestone rests in the cemetery. By the start of Throné's Ch.4, his gravestone bears a message carved by Claude: "I await where it all began."
- The backstreets are home to two rival brothels, Fengari and Amant. Two women from Amant frequent the tavern in New Delsta at night, while members of Amant have enamored the town provisioner, his son, and the city's elderly weaponsmith.
- One of the brothels is visited night after night by famous actors, powerful politicians, and wealthy visitors of every description. The last guard who worked there met an unknown (but presumably unfortunate) fate.
