Moonstruck Coast is a field location in Octopath Traveler. Moonstruck Coast is a trail area that encompasses the southern part of the Goldshore region, and serves to connect the rest of the Goldshore region to the Stonegard region. As there is no connection from the Goldshore region to the Coastlands' first-ring Rippletide region, Moonstruck Coast is part of the roundabout required to get between the Coastlands' first two rings (the other parts being in the Stonegard and Cobbleston regions of the Highlands).

Despite what its name may imply, Moonstruck Coast is indeed part of the game's main trail network; it is unknown why this location doesn't bear a name starting with a direction and followed by "Goldshore Coast" as would have otherwise been expected of a main trail area.

Both of the Goldshore region's main trail areas appear to be somewhat dangerous, as their highest Danger Level is 34, ten levels higher than the recommended level of Alfyn's second chapter taking place in Goldshore.

Story

(I don't think this is where I should be going at the moment...) The following section contains potential story spoilers!

After departing Noblecourt, the travelling troupe ultimately ends up at Moonstruck Coast, presumably out of sight to practice. Kit, in search of his father, Graham Crossford, opts to leave the troupe after repainting their sign after completing the In Search of Father (II) quest to meet Lyblac.
