- "Master Partitio, I take it. Word has reached me you would be coming. The master's study is this way. If you'd follow me." —Misha
Misha is a character in Octopath Traveler II. He is the butler of Lord Alrond, appearing during Partitio's story.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Misha wears a black and white butler outfit. His brown hair is short with a bang on his left side.
Personality[]
Misha is devoted to Alrond and the welfare of his home city, as demonstrated by his willingness to clean Wellgrove and bear Thurston's attack to protect Alrond. He appears to be embarrassed by theatrics, as he urges Alrond not to make a scene, though this counsel is largely ignored.
Story[]
During Misha's early life, he would help support his family by picking up trash around Wellgrove to keep it clean. One day, while cleaning, a young man appeared to ask him what he was doing, and after hearing his story and ideals, he revealed himself to be Alrond, who then offered him a job as a butler, which Misha accepted.
Several years later, Misha greeted a young merchant named Partitio at Alrond's estate, having been told by Alrond to expect his arrival after judging his character. After bringing him into the study, Misha observed Alrond and Partitio's conversation, with the latter's intent to buy the steam engine rights with the price tag of eighty billion leaves. Despite Misha's objections, Alrond considered the proposal and agreed, on the condition that Partitio revive Wellgrove's commerce after its decline over the years.
However, while Partitio was out gathering supplies, both Misha and Alrond came under attack by Thurston, a former employee of Roque's, with Misha injured and subdued before Partitio arrived and stopped Thurston from doing any more harm.
Misha and Alrond later made their way to Roque Island where they arrived in the nick of time before Roque could corner Partitio on his end of the deal for the steam engine. He then witnessed Partitio attempt to make the deal with Roque as well as the subsequent battle with Steam Tank Obsidian, which ended in Roque's defeat.
Misha's Next Chapter[]
One day, Misha was concerned about Alrond's mysterious outings that kept happening on a frequent basis. After gathering evidence, he confronted Alrond outside the manor, where it was revealed he was picking up the trash around town, which he dubbed "treasure hunting". After a heart-to-heart between the two men, both agreed to go out to town to "treasure hunt" together.

Etymology[]
"Misha" is a name of Hebrew and Russian origin equivalent to "Michael" or "Mikhail," meaning "who is like God?" In Japanese, "Misha" can also serve as a female name with a variety of meanings depending on the kanji used: mi 美 “beauty; beautiful” + sha 紗 “silk gauze; gossamer” (美紗). Misha's name likely reflects his devotion to Alrond, as well as his association with wealth and finery.
