Trivia[]
- Meryl's gleaned information: Hidden Item may only be Inquired/Scrutinized at her initial appearance in Clearbrook. Once Meryl, Lost then Found (I) is completed, she will not reveal the information, even after she returns to Clearbrook after the conclusion of Meryl, Lost then Found (III).
- According to Zeph in Alfyn's first chapter, Meryl tells "tales of unrequited love."
- Alfyn also comments, "Meryl's got her act together, but she still needs a shoulder to cry on now and then."
- Her quests reveal that:
- Meryl was adopted 19 years ago.
- She is descended from the noble House Gerster, which was the most powerful clan in the Riverlands before it destroyed itself in a self-incited war.
- If Meryl is knocked unconscious via Challenge or Provoke, she will remain knocked out even if the player exits Clearbrook via the Western Clearbrook Traverse or Path to the Cave of Rhiyo and then re-enters the town. Fast traveling to another city revives her, however.
- According to the Kindly Neighbor in Riverford, Meryl was a kindly woman who baked her hosts a pie every Sunday. Yet there was sorrow in her, too, and she'd gaze at the river for hours.
