You who seek power will being your journey in the snow-swepts frontiers of the Frostlands. There, you will cross paths with Tytos, the Hero. Leader of the Scarlet Wings, a band of former criminals, he rules Emberglow with an iron fist.
The Master of Power is one of the first three paths open to the Chosen One in Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, themed around "Power". In in, the Chosen One travels to snowy Emberglow, where they soon learn of a conspiracy surrounded a famed "Hero", and the army he amasses.

In a flashback 18 years ago at the Church of the Sacred Flame, Tytos of the Knights Ardante is praised for fending off the Southern Tribes. However, he is denied to follow after them, as it is believed that they are now in safe from future invasion. In the present, Tytos bitterly recalls the memory, stating that their refusal to go after the Southern Tribes is the reason he must now amass power in the form of his Scarlet Wings army, empowered by the Scarlet Elixir. Tytos then executes Jurgen's mother in front of him for failing to properly kill Rinyuu.
