Lord of the Sands is an enemy in Octopath Traveler II. This giant sandworm appears as a boss in the Quicksand Gaol, guarding an item needed to obtain another Hunter job license.

The Lord of the Sands begins by using "Cry For Help" to summon two Desert Worms, which lock the first two and second two of its weaknesses. Since it has five weaknesses, it remains vulnerable to Light throughout. The helpers must be killed before the other weaknesses are unlocked.
By default, Lord of the Sands gets two actions per turn.
- Cry For Help - (once at the beginning of the battle, again when it reaches 50% HP)
- Inhibit Defense - Reduce all enemies physical and elemental defense for 2 turns.
- Sand Strike - Deal damage to a single foe, and blind them.
