Lord's Manse is a dungeon in Octopath Traveler and the site of the final encounter for Olberic's Chapter 4 tale.

Description[]

Lord’s Manse is a lavish mansion with a brilliant crimson color scheme, imbued with luxurious splendor: shiny tile floors, well-furnished rooms decorated with chairs and tables, soldier statues, a portrait of Werner, and hanging lamps that pulse like slow heartbeats. Dusty mist flows through parts of the manse, creating pools of shadow. The boss room is backlit by tall windows and dominated by a writing desk above a massive red carpet.

Lord's Manse is the home to the lord of Riverford and his family, include Harald. After Werner drives out Harald's father from Riverford, he takes up residence in the Lord's Manse. The main gates that open to the Manse Gardens are initially closed upon arriving in Riverford. A Hidden Path, thought to be known only to the lord of Riverford and his family, allows access to the manse from Lower Riverford.

Map[]

The manse is comprised of two primary sections, both identified as "Lord's Manse":

  • An upper section, which connects to the Hidden Path and the room where Werner awaits.
  • A lower section, which opens to the Manse Gardens and further on to Riverford.

Trivia[]

  • Werner's portrait can be seen hanging on the wall in the mansion.
  • During Olberic's Chapter 4, if the player tries returning to the Hidden Path after entering the Lord's Manse, Olberic will stop and think, "(I'm sure Erhardt can handle this area on this own...)."
  • In his Ch. 2 flashback, Therion runs with Darius out of the Lord's Manse, the two of them having stolen a gem that a rival thief gang called the Ciannos had set their sights on.
