Le Mann, Explorer Extraordinaire (III) is a side story in Octopath Traveler. This chapter of the tale begins by speaking to Le Mann at the docks in the east section of Grandport Markets in Grandport after both Le Mann, Explorer Extraordinaire (I) and Le Mann, Explorer Extraordinaire (II) have been completed.

Challenge / Provoke[]

Use the Challenge or Provoke path action to duel the Wharf Thug (  Min Lvl: 20 /  [Strength:7, HP:24,320, Weak:] blocking the ship's gangway.
The tale ends once the Wharf Thug is defeated.
"Following in the footsteps of the great adventurer Dupone, Le Mann embarked on a journey across the sea to unseen lands."

Epilogue[]

Upon completion of the side story, the following occurs:

  • Le Mann permanently disappears from the game.
  • Wharf Thug relocates away from the gangway of the ship to the base of the steps.
  • Erudite Graybeard appears in Goldshore Manor District.

Trivia[]

  • The Erudite Graybeard who appears in Goldshore Manor District after the side story is completed reveals himself to be Dupone, the adventurer who had inspired Le Mann. Upon inquiring or scrutinizing him, he further reveals that he, like Le Mann, was "charmed by the words of a famous adventurer in his youth, [and] embarked on a journey of his own".
