- "For centuries has the sword of our clan struck down our foes. Their blood has stained the desert red, and our nation has become great in turn." —King Jigo Ku
The Kingdom of Ku is a nation in Hinoeuma with a long and bloody history of conflict and war. Their enemies number many, one among several being the fallen nation of U. 50 houses have pledged themselves to Ku's service, including Clan Mei.
Overview[]
Ku was recently ruled by the aging King Jigo Ku, until a coup removed him from power. In the present day, Ku maintains a peace treaty with the neighboring nation of Sa.
Hikari Ku hails from Ku, as does his brother Mugen. The royal family of Clan Ku harbors an accursed blood inherited from the Archmage D'arqest, which manifests in savage fighting skills and raging bloodlust that leave no survivors.
The heart of the Ku kingdom rests within Ku: Castle Town. Commoners within the kingdom suffer poor treatment from the highborn; the nation's soldiers are able to cut down commoners on a whim, incurring little to no repercussions.
Story[]
Shortly after King Jigo Ku appointed Prince Hikari as his successor, General Mugen staged a Ku and seized the throne. Mugen killed Jigo Ku, branding Hikari a traitor and rallying Ku to conquer the world. He razed Ku: Castle Town to suppress the commoners' potential rebellion and broke his nation's peace treaty with Sa, massacring all of his foes in his quest for power.
During his exile, Hikari reunited with his scattered allies and gathered an army of his own. At last he marched on Castle Ku, employing a sandstorm to blast open the city's front gates, and slew Mugen in a duel for the crown.
Immediately after being king, Hikari set free Ku's subjugated neighbors and proclaimed a future of fellowship and peace for its war-torn realm.
