Kaldena's Father is a minor character in Octopath Traveler II. He appears briefly during a flashback scene in Temenos's Chapter 4, dying to defend the Fellsun Ruins from the Moonshade Order.

Appearance[]
As a member of the Kal, Kaldena's father is tattooed with an image of the Sacred Flame. He wears a plain white tunic and pants, and he has short gray hair.
Personality[]
Kaldena's father is a devout member of the Kal, willing to sacrifice himself without hesitation in order to give his daughter time to flee. He does not appear to be particularly competent in battle, however, as he draws no weapon and is promptly cut down by a single slash.
Story[]
When Kaldena, originally named Dena, was a child, the Moonshade Order attacked the Fellsun Ruins where the Kal tribe made their home. As the Kal were slaughtered, Kaldena's father urged his daughter to run. As soon as he stepped to face the attackers without a weapon, one of the Moonshade Order killed him with a swift blow.
Dena managed to escape the ruins and changed her name to Kaldena, vowing to harness the Shadow to take vengeance on her people's killers.
