Appearance

Pontiff Julius has long gray hair and wears a tall white hat in addition to his cleric's robe, indicating his prestigious position.

Story

Champions of the Continent

Long before the current events, the pontiff gave permission to Sazantos to burn tomes and everything related to the controversial side of the Order.

In Champions of the Continent, he held the trial against Pardis III in the Council of Kings of 1615 in Flamesgrace, which rendered the verdict of the king being not guilty.

Octopath Traveler

In Octopath Traveler (in 1618), Pontiff Julius meets with Ophilia when she returns to Flamesgrace to deliver the ember to the Great Flame, congratulating her on completing the Kindling.

Trivia

• It is mentioned that it's been 18 years since Tytos was given Emberglow by “the pontiff," not “the previous pontiff," which could indicate that Julius has been pontiff since at least 1597.
