Joshua Frostblade is a character in Octopath Traveler. He appears as one of Olberic’s competitors in the tournament at Victors Hollow.
Story[]
Joshua is a swordfighter and hails from Northreach. He is said to have a heart surpassed in coldness only by his blade. He believes strongly in the power of love and fights for his lover, Angela.
At Victors Hollow, he faces Olberic during the first round of battle in the arena, but loses.

Joshua will have one of his weaknesses locked behind 2 Dapper Duelists, both of which must be defeated to unlock it.

Etymology[]
"Joshua" is a name of Hebrew origin meaning "God is salvation." The Biblical figure Joshua served as assistant and successor to Moses, leading the Hebrew people into the Promised Land. As such, Joshua Frostblade's name likely represents his valor and heroic protection of those he loves.
Trivia[]
- Joshua must be inquired or scrutinized during Olberic's Chapter 2 story to glean Joshua's Weak Points; once he is defeated, this information cannot be obtained.
- Obtaining this Knowledge does not count towards the Collector's achievement for the Steam version.
- Unlike the majority of enemies, Joshua does not have a normal attack when fought at Victors Hollow: The Arena during Olberic's Chapter 2 story.
