[Cause of death: Slain in civil war] A traveling craftsman who refines soulstones. Though there are many stones imbued with spirits deep within the Highlands, refining them without setting off an explosion requires a steady hand and skill. Thus, proficent soulstone craftsmen are in a high demand.

Old Hornburgian Soldier
Our bond is stronger than any rock. Our pride, taller than any mountain! Hornburg shall endure for all time!
[Cause of death: Slain in civil war] A guard of Hornburg since the reign of the previous king. He has dedicated his life to his duties and has fostered a good relationship with the townspeople. Many years ago, he joined the Orsterran Alliance led by the "hero" Tytos and courageously fought the Westerlings in a fierce battle.
Unlike the other towns in Hell, there aren't regretful dead and the townspeople behave like the civil war never happened or was a collective nightmare. In contrast, at the outsides of the town there are townspeople who acknowledge Hornburg's fall. It is revealed that King Alfred stopped time using "a secret art from Hornburg" to prevent the hornburgians being seized by hatred and regrets after the war, thus becoming fallen.
Producer Hirohito Suzuki states Hell's Hornburg soundtrack is unique in comparison to the ones in Hell's Cragspear and Hell's Valore to remark how different the town is for not being under Accurst Flame's influence.[1]
All the denizens in both town (excluding the sheep) and castle share the same cause of death.
Due to this Hornburg being an exceptional case in Hell, there was a hard time to find a balance between the mysterious atmosphere of a land frozen in time and the gloomy atmosphere of the hellish realm.[2]
