Heirloom of a High House is a side story in Octopath Traveler. The tale begins by speaking to Byron the Noble near the inn at Northreach.

Resolution[]

The side story may be resolved using one of two methods:

Inquire / Scrutinize[]

Travel to S'warkii. Successfully use the Inquire or Scrutinize path action to glean the knowledge Byron Family Lineage from the Highbrow Historian (  Min Lvl: 5 /  Base Rate: 80% ) standing due south of the general store.
The tale ends once Byron Family Lineage is shared with Byron the Noble.
"After learning that his forefathers were simple farmers, Byron decided to start over and earn his nobility, just as they had."

Purchase / Steal[]

Travel to Grandport Markets in Grandport. Successfully use the Purchase or Steal path action to obtain Byron's Ring from the Master Jeweler (  LeafLeaf 20,900 /  Lvl 42 ) at the northwest corner of the market area.
The tale ends once Byron's Ring is given to Byron the Noble.
"With the ring returned to his safekeeping, Byron resolves to live a life worthy of such a family treasure."

Epilogue[]

Upon completion of the side story, the following occurs:

  • If the Inquire/Scrutinize path was chosen, Byron the Noble changes his name to Byron the Commoner and relocates to the eastern section of Northreach.

Trivia[]

  • Highbrow Historian appears in S'warkii only after H'aanit's Chapter 1 story has been completed.
