Etymology[]
"Garnet" is derived from the medieval Latin term "granatus," which means "seed-like" and was used to refer to the pomegranate. Garnets are a type of dark red gemstone symbolic of love, likely representative of Garnet's loyalty. The expensive gemstone nature of her name may also indicate her privileged lifestyle as Roque's favorite hound.
Trivia[]
- Garnet has the highest HP of all chapter bosses whose recommended levels range from 14–18 in Octopath Traveler II.
- As part of his work schedule, Thurston takes Garnet on nighttime walks and gives her biscuits.
- Garnet is the smallest of all bosses in her overworld sprite; as such, she appears comically larger in her boss fight.
