The Prodigious Painting is a side story in Octopath Traveler. The tale begins by speaking to the Art Lover near the base of the west staircase in Atlasdam Palace in Atlasdam.

Resolution

The side story may be resolved using one of two methods:

Purchase / Steal

Travel to East Saintsbridge Traverse near Saintsbridge. Successfully use the Purchase or Steal path action to obtain the Final Masterpiece from the Landscape Artist (   1,520 /  Lvl 42 ) near the bridge south of the save point

The tale ends once the Final Masterpiece is given to the Art Lover.

Guide / Allure

Travel to East Saintsbridge Traverse near Saintsbridge. Successfully use the Guide or Allure path action on the Landscape Artist (  Min Lvl: 5 /  Base: 80% ) near the bridge south of the save point.

The tale ends once the Landscape Artist is brought to the Art Lover.

Epilogue

Upon completion of the side story, the following occurs:

• If the Purchase/Steal path route was chosen:
  • Landscape Artist changes his name to Baker and relocates to the front of the provisioner in Saintsbridge.
  • Artist's Brotherchanges his name to Baker's Brother and relocates next to his brother.
