Eye for an Eye is a Dancer Support Skill in Octopath Traveler.
Effect[]
The equipping character has a 50% chance to retaliate with a Standard Attack whenever they are targeted by a physical attack.
The support skill observes the following behavior:
- Eye for an Eye may activate on each hit of a multi-hit physicial attack
- Eye for an Eye may activate even if the user evades the attack.
- The counterattack uses the currently-equipped weapon
- The message "An eye for an eye." appears upon each successful activation
- If a character has a Runelord Rune active when Eye for an Eye activates, the character will trigger the corresponding elemental "Pursuit" attack.
- Eye for an Eye, while considered a standard attack, does not activate Second Serving.

Other Multipliers[]
- All damage scales with the level of the attacker (see Level Multiplier)
- All damage has a random multiplier (from x0.98 to x1.02) applied to it for each hit
- Critical hits deal x1.25 damage.
- Hitting a broken enemy deals x2.0 damage
- The
Increased Physical Attack buff on the attacker or the
Decreased Physical Defense on the target increases damage by x1.5; with both, the total multiplier is x2.25

- Fortitude increases the damage of physical attacks by +6% for every 1% of HP below 33% the equipping character has, up to a maximum of ×3 damage at 1 HP
- Physical Prowess applies the
Increased Physical Attack and
Increased Physical Defense buffs indefinitely
