Dreadwolf is an enemy in Octopath Traveler. This ferocious wolf appears as a mini-boss that can be fought in the deepest reach of the Maw of the Ice Dragon. Players must defeat it to get one of three Forbidden Daggers in the game.
After defeating the Dreadwolf inside the Maw of the Ice Dragon, the player has a 5% chance of fighting a Dreadwolf (and two War Wolves) as a random encounter there, where it can be captured.

- Rampage: Heavy physical attack, targets entire party.
- Howl: Summons a War Wolf.
- Vorpal Fang: Heavy physical attack, single target.
- Wild Scratch: Heavy physical attack, targets random allies. Hits 4-6 times.
