- "Dammit... The bleeding won't stop..." —Donnie
Donnie was a member of the Blacksnakes, prior to his untimely death.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Donnie wears a white shirt and has short black hair.
Personality[]
Before he dies, Donnie curses his inability to stop bleeding and apologizes for slowing his companions down, demonstrating a certain concern for his teammates as well as himself. Scaracci refers to Donnie "working his magic" on a lock, implying that he is a skilled lockpick.
Story[]
Not much is known about Donnie's early life, though it is known that he was one of Claude's many children inducted into the Blacksnakes and began to work alongside Throné Anguis, Pirro, and Scaracci, all of which he struck a friendship with (and unbeknownst to him, his half-siblings).
During their time, he and the others discussed a treasure rumor regarding "Alpates" and made bets on whether or not it existed, with Donnie voting against its existence.
One night, Donnie, along with Throné, Pirro, and Scaracci were assigned to raid the Diamante manse to acquire a mark for the group's leaders. Unfortunately, they were caught and while they tried to escape in the sewers, Donnie was gravely wounded, with Throné assisting him. As they arrived at a nearby exit, some of their pursuers caught up with them and forced the remaining three to engage them in battle. However, after defeating them, Donnie succumbed to his wounds.
Etymology[]
"Donnie" is a hypocorism of the Irish name "Donald" or "Donovan," derived from the term "donn" (meaning "brown," "chief," or "noble). Alternative, "Donnie" may be derived from the Scottish name "Domhnall," which means "ruler of the world." Ironically, Donnie perishes without achieving any significant status worthy of his name.
