Dancer is a recurring job.
Dancer (
Dancers specialize in buffing their allies' stats, with many of their skills dedicated to that role. The Dancer's first support skill, The Show Goes On, further assists their supportive role by increasing the duration of stat buffs. Dancers are also versed in Dark magic, being the only job of the initial eight to learn Dark spells naturally. The Dancer's third support skill, Second Wind, is an SP-recovery one and useful for magic-oriented characters. Dancers wield Daggers as weapons, which tend to increase the user's Evasion.
Dancers are a good choice to fight alongside Clerics. Not only does the Cleric job have access to Sheltering Veil which applies the Increased Elemental Defense buff, which the Dancer job lacks, but the Dancer's Divine Skill, Sealticge's Seduction, can be combined with the Cleric skill Reflective Veil to great effect against foes' magic attacks, in addition to applying buffs to all allies. Dancers are also a good choice to fight alongside Merchants, because they can continuously Donate BP to increase the duration of the Dancer's buffs. Similarly, Alfyn can Concoct using Essences of Pomegranate to restore BP.
Dancers and Starseers also work very well together because of their similar playstyles. In particular, Sealticge's Seduction is of great benefit to Starseers. The Dancer support skill The Show Goes On further assists the Starseer's supportive role.
Dancers are very effective support units and niche spellcasters, and their Divine Skill is widely considered among the best Divine Skills in the entire game.

Shrine Location[]
- Main article: Shrine of the Lady of Grace
Shrine of the Lady of Grace will grant the secondary job Dancer. Located in the Northern Wellspring Sands on the western side of the map.
Strategies[]
The Dancer secondary job is unlocked at the Shrine of the Lady of Grace. With its focus on stat buffing and Dark spells, the Dancer job is recommended for support- and/or magic-oriented characters.
- Ophilia is one of the best choices for the Dancer job. In addition to Daggers and Dark magic for additional coverage, the Dancer job further expands the supportive capabilities of Ophilia's primary Cleric job, giving her the power to buff her allies' stats in addition to healing them and reflecting magic attacks. As mentioned above, Sealticge's Seduction + Reflective Veil is a powerful combo against enemies that use magic attacks. Dancer Ophilia can also use the Cleric job's Divine Skill, Aelfric's Auspices, to buff allies twice in one action at no additional SP—increasing their duration without spending BP—or Sealticge's Seduction to apply buffs to the entire party, while the Dancer job's third support skill, Second Wind, complements Ophilia's SP-reliant playstyle very well. However, Ophilia is tied with Alfyn for the lowest Speed of the eight protagonists, so you may have to give her the "Defend" command so that she goes to the front of the turn order in the next turn, and/or use the Dancer skill Panther Dance on her to apply the Increased Speed buff.
- Therion is also a good choice to run as a Dancer. Therion has the highest Evasion of the eight protagonists and the second-highest Speed after Primrose, and the Dancer secondary job gives the equipping character a +10% bonus to both stats. Therion's primary Thief job has Shackle Foe and Armor Corrosive among its skills to apply the Decreased Physical Attack and Decreased Physical Defense debuffs to foes respectively, and the Dancer job's ally-buffing skills (Lions Dance and Mole Dance in particular) lets allies both dish out more damage and endure more damage. The Increased Physical Attack buff applied by Lions Dance also allows Therion to recover more HP and SP with the Thief skills HP Thief and Steal SP, the latter helps cover for Therion being tied with Olberic and H'aanit for the lowest SP of the eight protagonists. However, Dancer Therion's weapon variety is compromised because both the Thief and Dancer jobs wield Daggers, and while he does gain access to Dark magic in addition to his primary job's Daggers, Swords and Fire spell, Therion's Elem. Atk. is tied with Alfyn and H'aanit for the second-lowest of the eight protagonists after Olberic.
- Cyrus can have a niche Dancer role for a few reasons. First, the Dancer secondary job provides the second-highest Elem. Atk. stat bonus after the Scholar job (which is already Cyrus' primary job) at +8%, which benefits Dancer Cyrus' black mage capabilities. Second, Dancer Cyrus gains access to Daggers and Dark magic in addition to his primary job's Staves and Fire, Ice and Lightning spells, giving him six different means of coverage. Third, and most importantly, Second Wind complements Cyrus' SP-reliant playstyle very well. However, because Cyrus is your token black mage and because most Dancer skills are support-oriented, it can be difficult to fully optimize Dancer Cyrus' role as a magic attacker, and while the Dancer job does have Peacock Strut among its skills to apply the Increased Elemental Attack buff, it might be a good idea to switch to another secondary job after unlocking Second Wind and have Cyrus fight alongside a Dancer.
- H'aanit can also have a niche Dancer role because her primary Hunter job has Leghold Trap among its skills to delay a foe's actions. This gives Dancer H'aanit time to buff allies, which can be complemented by Panther Dance. The Hunter job's fourth support skill, Patience, gives H'aanit a chance to apply additional buffs to allies at the end of each turn. In addition, H'aanit is tied with Primrose for the second-highest Evasion of the eight protagonists after Therion. However, H'aanit is primarily a physical attacker and the Dancer job only provides Daggers as an additional weapon, so it can be difficult to fully optimize Dancer H'aanit's role as a physical attacker, though Lions Dance does help. That said, having H'aanit fight alongside a Dancer works very well.
- As far as support skills go, besides the staple Saving Grace, recommended support skills for Dancers include: Elemental Augmentation (early-game), SP Saver, The Show Goes On, Second Wind, Fleetfoot (early-game), Patience and Elemental Edge
- As far as weapons go, the Adamantine Dagger is a good weapon for Dancers because it increases the power of the user's Dark spells.

Trivia[]
- All four names of the Dancer support skills allude to either Primrose's determined personality (The Show Goes On, Second Wind and Encore) or her quest for revenge against the Obsidians for murdering her father (Eye for an Eye).
