Cliftlands Emblem
- "The Cliftlands are blessed with abundant mineral wealth, and many arms and armor used in conflicts throughout the ages can trace their origins to it. The region is also a source of rare and high-quality rock salt, the trade in which has earned many notable individuals considerable fortunes..." —History of the Cliftlands
The Cliftlands (クリフランド地方, Kurifurando Chihō) are a rocky region in western Orsterra. This region is home to the towns of Bolderfall (where Therion the thief starts his adventure), Quarrycrest, and Orewell.
The Cliftlands's geography includes steep cliffs, deep gorges, and expanses of dusty rock. Although its arid climate prevents most vegetation from growing, this region thrives off the mining business of the proprietors who seek gold and precious stones from its depths. The bones of unfortunate travelers line certain cliffsides, testifying to the inhospitably of this rugged wilderness.
Located to the north of the Riverlands and south of the Woodlands, the Cliftlands includes the Kingdom of Edoras and the far western Westerling settlement, I'cirlo.

Trivia[]
- The Cliftlands's towns were conceptualized as dry places with red soil and the sound of plucked guitar strings on the wind.[1]
