Azuma is a minor character in Octopath Traveler II who makes an appearance during Hikari's Chapter 3. He is a merchant and an old friend of Kazan's.

Azuma wears a green merchant's outfit, complete with a feathered hat.

Personality

As an old acquaintance and drinking buddy of Kazan, Azuma proves shrewd in informing Kazan of Mugen's illicit weapons dealings. However, Azuma himself is willing to perform under-the-table business transactions, as he requires a bribe before telling Hikari of the trade's location.

Story

Some time after Hikari fled from Ku, Azuma warned his old friend Kazan that Mugen was purchasing a large shipment of weapons. During Hikari's Chapter 3, Azuma meets the young prince at the tavern in Wellgrove, where he accepts a bribe in exchange for delivering further details. He reveals that the weapon trade is set to take place in the Secret Forest, heavily guarded by Mugen's forces.
