Al is a character in Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent. He appears in the Master of Power path as a simple waiter, but due to circumstances beyond his control, he ends as the boss of Chapter I.

He has been a loyal servant of Tytos for 10 years, but still it seems he kept disappointing the Hero over and over again. In one of the meetings with Velnorte and Jurgen regarding the scarlet drug, Al was in charge of bringing them the dinner, but he ends up making a mess. Tytos states that the elixir that is being developed is for weak people to have strong bodies and proposes him to try it. Before the servant can refuse the offer, Tytos states that he was only joking, as the elixir is still far from complete and he wouldn't risk using it on important servants of his. As Al relaxes from the compliment, Tytos throws a sample right into his mouth as he remarked him that he never considered him important. Because he found out too late the drug was already affecting his body, Al ends up transforming into a zombie-like creature. Tytos orders him to begone, to which the servant obeys.
Seeing the Chosen One had witnessed the entire event, Velnorte requests the Ringbearer to track Al down and put him out of his misery since he is no longer human and said state cannot be reversed, so if left unchecked, it could bring problems over Emberglow. The Chosen One finds Al hidding under a table in Velnorte's lab, and puts down the poor man.
