- "Prince Hikari, you've arrived just in time. You rats have fallen straight into our trap... Lay down your arms and surrender." —Ageha
Ageha is a character in Octopath Traveler II. He serves as general under Mugen during Mugen's time as king of Ku, and he appears during Hikari's storyline.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Ageha has long black hair and wears a dark robe with gold trimming.
Personality[]
Ageha is a fairly level-headed, though not completely scrupulous man. Although he willingly serves under Mugen's tyranny, he suggests more lenient courses of action than Mugen chooses to undertake, but his loyalty precludes him from ever resisting Mugen's commands.
History[]
Not much is known of Ageha's early life, though at some point he entered the service of the Clan Ku and became a high-ranking member under Mugen.
During the war against the southern rebels, Ageha is seen alongside Mugen and Kazan, observing the battlefield before entering the fray and assisting in dispatching a group of soldiers.
Three years after the war ended and Mugen's subsequent takeover, Ageha becomes his advisor and reports on the defeat and capture of the southern rebel's town. When Mugen orders the death of all of the townsfolk, Ageha goes to carry out the order, though reluctantly.
During Hikari and Kazan's assault on Ku, Ageha confronts the former outside the palace, demanding his surrender before he is suddenly accosted by Rai Mei, who engages him in battle to allow Hikari time to get past him and his soldiers. He is defeated and subdued before Hikari comes out of the palace and announces Mugen's death.
At some point after Hikari ascends the throne, Ageha is captured by Kazan and taken to the Tranquil Grotto, the location of one of the Sacred Flames. There he is killed and sacrificed by Kazan using the Darkblood Blade in order to put out the Flame, but not before Kazan reveals his true identity of Oboro to him.
